GOVERNOR ABIODUN EULOGISES FORMER SPEAKER BANKOLE’s MOTHER

The Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the late mother of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, The Right Honourable Dimeji Bankole, Alhaja Monsurat Bankole as an exceptional woman of faith, sterling leadership and selfless service.

Speaking at the 8 days fidau for Alhaja Bankole at the Abeokuta Sports Club, this Friday, governor Abiodun said the life of the deceased was a testament to strength, humility and devotion, adding that she was compassionate and lived meaningfully.

Represented by her Deputy, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, governor Abiodun praised the great background roles played by Alhaja Bankole towards the success of her children, just as he lauded her commitment and dedication to the Islamic faith, saying she indeed left the legacy of goodness and kindness.

In a goodwill message, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Right Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, represented by the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Benjamin Kalu,said the fact that the Late Alhaja Bankole raised responsible children including the former speaker of the Representatives, the Right Honourable Dimeji Bankole attested to her virtuousness, charging mothers to sow quality seeds in their children as such seeds do germinate and yeild greatness in them.

On his part, a former aviation minister, Senator Hadi Sirika described the late Alhaja Bankole as a caring mother who lived for others, feeding the needy and promoting their cause, urging Islamic faithful to emulate her good deeds to earn rewards from Allah.

Also speaking, Sheikh Abdullahi Sanni from the Supreme council for Sharia in Nigeria, called on the children of the deceased to imbibe her virtues by giving their all to propagating Islam and representing Allah as advised in the quaran.#
