Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Governor Dapo Abiodun calls for collective responsibility in supporting families of fallen heroes.

The Ogun state governor prince Dapo Abiodun has urged Nigerians to see the welfare of the families of the fallen heroes as a collective responsibility to ensure that their sacrifices are not in vain.

Governor made this known this midweek while fielding questions from newsmen during the Special Parade/Laying of Wreath to mark the year 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration held at the Arcade ground Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The Governor who posited that the armed forces Remembrance Day was set aside as a day to remember all those who have laid down their lives as sacrifice to protect the nation from external and internal aggressors re-affirmed that it is his belief that the country would be great again.

Mr. Governor called on Nigerians to join hands with the government at all levels in ensuring that the nation remains one and indivisible,

The first citizen of the gateway state assured that the state government would continue to prioritize the welfare of the families of the fallen heroes and those who are still alive

The highlights of the event were the release of pigeons to signify peace and the laying of wreaths by Governor Dapo Abiodun, Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly; Rt. Hon Oludaisi Elemide, Chief Judge of the state; Honorable Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu, traditional rulers and heads of security agencies.
