In a continued effort to revitalize and improve the quality of the Civil/Public Service in Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, the Governor, has approved the appointment of two new Permanent Secretaries within the State’s Civil/Public Service.
The appointment of the new permanent secretaries was made public in a Statement signed by the Head of Service ,Mr Kehinde Onasanya.
According to the Head of Service , the appointment was made by the Governor in tandem with the provision of Section 208 (c) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, and in consideration of merit, professionalism, inclusiveness and seniority in the Civil/Public Service of the State.
In addition, the HoS noted that the new appointees were carefully selected from the pool of Directors who were successful in the Ogun State Pipeline Leadership Development Programme conducted for Directors to be eligible for appointment into the position of Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil/Public Service.
The new Permanent Secretaries are Dr. OGUNSANYA Wellington Olaitan and Mr. ABDUL Suraj Olubamiro, a Physiotherapist.
Prior to their appointment, Dr. OGUNSANYA Wellington Olaitan, who joined the Civil Service of the State on 2nd June, 1992 was the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics (DPRS) of the State Hospitals Management Board while Mr. ABDUL Suraj Olubamiro, who was appointed into the Service on 20th May, 1991 was the State Director of Physiotherapy and Medical Rehabilitation.
The swearing-in ceremony of the new appointees will be conducted by the Governor in due course.
