GOVERNOR ABIODUN INAUGURATES OJODU-ABIODUN- DENRO-ISHASI- AKUTE ROAD

The Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun this Friday inaugurated Ojodu-Abiodun-Denro-Ishasi-akute road in Ifo local government with the promise of more developmental projects across the state

Inaugurating the 4.65 kilometres road, governor Abiodun informed that the ongoing reconstruction of Oke-aro-akute-alagbole-ajuwon road will be ready for commissioning in three months time while the construction of a 32 kilometres Akute-Ajuwon road would also be awarded in two weeks time

Governor Abiodun explained that the provision of infrastructural amenities across the state is tailored at enhancing the lives of people and also to engender more development to the nook and crannies of the state

Mr governor who pointed out that the current administration in the last five years has constructed over seven hundred kilometre road across the state submitted that his government had also constructed other roads in Ifo local government including Orita-meje-Coker junction road,the Olusegun Osoba-Toyin-Agbado road,.vespa road, Kosoko road, among others saying road reconstruction has made the local government wear a new look

Thanking the people of the local government for voting the ruling party during the just concluded local government election, governor Abiodun noted that the newly commissioned road was in a deplorable condition for many years which according to him has hampered commercial activities within the area

The governor while describing the local government as important to the state said the reconstruction of the road was in fulfilment of his promise to reconstruct all the border roads between lagos and Ogun states in order to provide an opportunity for people to live in Ogun state and work in lagos state

He added that the intention of the state government is to make the state the destination of choice for investors through the provision of good roads and improved infrastructural amenities

The first citizen of the gateway state admonished the residents to take ownership of the road by protecting it against damage, urging them to avoid blocking the drains with plastics and other dirts

The event was attended by dignitaries, including members of the state executive, government functionaries, traditional rulers, and members of the public
