Faith-based schools contribute to the development of the society through holistic knowledge acquisition .

The Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele stated this,this Monday while receiving the executives of the Ogun State Association of Model Islamic Schools(AMIS).

The Deputy Governor noted that the proliferation of Faith-based schools in the country has afforded children the opportunity to practice their religions without fear or favour as well as imbibe western education for overall self development.

Engineer Salako-Oyedele commended AMIS for choosing to run Islamic schools especially during the current challenging period, adding that the existence of such schools helps to shape the lives of the citizens.

Stating the essence of the visit, the AMIS Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Adeotan explained that the association is an umbrella body of proprietors that operate schools for Islamic propagation and social reformation through academic excellence, Islamic teachings, morality and socio-cultural empowerment.

Alhaji Adeotan who commended the leadership of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration especially on educational transformation,saying the commitment of the government to boosting the sector has produced the required results#
