“Beneficiaries of Subsidized Rice Praise Governor Abiodun’s Initiative

Ogun State workers have continued to express their gratitude to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for mitigating the effects of fuel subsidy removal by selling subsidized rice directly to them.
In an interview at the point of sale for public servants at St. Peter’s College, Olomore, Abeokuta, some beneficiaries praised the initiative and advocated for regular sales intervals to benefit more people.

They suggested that continuous sales would reduce the influence of market traders who might exploit the public during economic challenges.
Mrs. Lydia Fajounbo, Chairman of the Steering Committee on Sales of Rice at Discounted Rates to Ogun State Workforce and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Establishments and Training, explained that the exercise aligns with the State Government’s directive to sell the commodity directly to beneficiaries at discounted rates. She assured that every effort would be made to ensure the governor’s directive is carried out to the letter.

Last Friday, public servants from Ikenne, Remo North, and Sagamu benefited from the subsidized rice sales in Sagamu.”
