The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has described Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun as a pacesetter who is at the vanguard of completely transforming the State for good.
The vice-president made the remark this Saturday at the Gateway International Airport while fielding questions from newsmen
He opined that the governor has maximally taken advantage of the state’s proximity to Lagos State, saying the airport which is almost completed, has state of the art facilities as well as the longest runway in the country.
Also, speaking at the airport, the attorney general of the Federation and minister of justice, Mr Lateef Fagbemi, described the airport as one of the best in the country with its state of art facilities
The minister of justice who commended governor dapo Abiodun for his sterling leadership expressed optimism that the airport at the completion would help to enhance the state’s economy and also generate employment for the people of the state

President Tinubu gave the commendation this Saturday at the installation of Chief Adegunwa and his wife, Hajia Fatima Adegunwa as the Asiwaju of Ijebuland and Yeye Asiwaju and Arobake of Ijebuland by the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, held at the Palace Ground, Ijebu-Ode.
Represented by the Vice President, Senator kassim Shettima, President Tinubu lauded the tenacity and hard work of Chief Adegunwa, who rose from being a photographer to food industrialist which according to him has helped in opening up the country’s economy and provide employment opportunities for thousands of Nigerians.
President Tinubu called on all Nigerians to emulate the exemplary qualities and lifestyle of the new Asiwaju, noting that despite his wealth and social standing, he still lives low profile life
The president while appreciating the Awujale and the people of Ijebuland for conferring the prestigious title on the renowned industrialist, said this would serve as an example to the young generation
The governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun in a remark commended the new Asiwaju for rising from a humble background of involving in photo business into banking, agricultural sector and food industry, saying his business conglomerates has employed over 3,000 people.
The governor noted that his spirit, has made him the topmost indigenous industrialist in Nigeria adding that his hard work and diligence with vast experience in the global business has also positioned him to become a pillar of emulation In the country
He said the installation of Chief Adegunwa as the new Asiwaju of Ijebuland underscored his esteem status and unwavering commitment to the advancement of his people and the nation, appreciating the Awujale for considering the new Asiwaju for the honour.
The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona who spoke through the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland, Chief Sunny Kuku, described Chief Adegunwa as a great philanthropist and son who has contributed to the economic development of Ijebuland, Ogun State and the nation in general
Oba adetona said the chieftaincy conferment was a testimony of the love and appreciation to a man who brought honour and development to Ijebuland through hard work and perseverance.
