GOVERNOR ABIODUN PLEDGES TO PRIORITISE THE WELL-BEING OF THE PEOPLE.

As the world celebrates Christmas, the Ogun State governor, prince Dapo Abiodun, has reiterated that his government would continue to prioritise the welbeing and welness of the people of the state during his second term

The governor therefore urged the residents to support the government in its efforts of achieving a new Ogun state

Governor Abiodun made the remark this monday in his Chrismas message at Saint James Anglican Church, Iperu – Remo in Ikenne Local Government Area

The governor who acknowledged the hardship in the country, informed that his government has put in place various interventions to cushion the effects of the economy downturn adding that everyparts of the state would experience turnaround by building more housing units, constructing roads, rehabilitating large number of primary health centres, phcs and also rehabilitating more schools in order to create conducive learning environment for students in all the three senatorial districts

He added that the problem of epileptic power supply rocking the state would soon be a thing of past as major cities would be light up to experience uninterrupted twenty-four hours power supply stressing that constant water supply would also be achieved

Assuring that he would not be distracted by any antics of the opposition, Mr governor, however, promised that he would continue to implement policies and programs that will bring more investment into the state in order to justify the mandate entrusted in him by the people of the state

The first citizen of the gateway state in the spirit of the season stressed the need for Nigerians to share love with one another as demonstrated by God”s love to humanity through His manifestation in the form of man to lead mankind to salvation advising people to celebrate with moderation

The vicar of the church, venerable shedrach ajileye, advised people to accept Jesus as their saviour as his birth signify peace, love, and salvation

Reading from John chapter 3 verse 16, the clergy reminded people to live an impactful life by examining their relationship with God at all times, stressing that there is no repentance after death but judgement

He commended the governor for the massive infrastructural development in the state during his first time urging him not to relent but continue to uphold the developmental legacies of late chief obafemi awolowo

The church service was attended by people from all walks of life, including members of state and national assembly, government functionaries, traditional rulers, and members of the public
