The Ogun State government has restated that the killer of the state’s former director of finance and administration , DFA, would be brought to book
Governor dapo Abiodun who made the remark this tuesday at a memorial service held in honour of the deceased at ibara baptist Church, Abeokuta promised that the state government would do everything possible in ensuring that the former DFA didn’t die in vain adding that the current administration has put in place a sum of fifty million naira as reward to anyone that could provide information towards the arrest of the perpetrators of the heinous crime
Extolling the virtues of late Mr oyekanmi, governor Abiodun described him as dependable, honest, transparent and dilligent man whose contribution to the state public service was immeasurable
While assuring that the state government would take care of the welfare of his family in appreciation of his dedication and commitment to duties during his lifetime, the governor informed that the state government would finance the education of the children, empower his immediate family financially and also offered the family a befitting accommodation in one of the state’s housing projects
Describing him as a devoted Christian, the first citizen of the gateway state urged the people to live an impactful life in order to be remembered for good after death
Responding on behalf of the family, the eldest brother of the deceased, Mr lanre oyekanmi lauded governor Abiodun and the entire people of the state for their support over the death of his brother promising that the family would ensure that whatever the state government provide for the deceased’s family is judiciously use for their upkeep
Late Mr taiwo oyekanmi died at the age of fifty one
