Workers in the Ogun state civil service led by the Head of Service, Mr Peter Fagbohun this monday converged on oke-mosan, Abeokuta to felicitate governor Dapo Abiodun on his victory at the state governorship election petition tribunal which delivered an historic judgement on Saturday.
Addressing the workers, Governor Abiodun thanked them for their support during the first term of his administration, describing them as committed, exemplary and dedicated civil servants.
Promising that his government would continue to prioritise the well- being and welness of the workers, the governor assured that the current administration would be just, transparent and obey the rule of law in all its dealings, just as he reiterated that his government would continue to put in place policies that will facilitate more investments into the state, thereby creating more jobs for the people of the state.
The first citizen of the state, however, lauded the Permanent Secretaries of the various ministries for their cooperation and collaboration in the last few months, for holding forth properly since the new set of commissioners are yet to be appointed
While thanking the judiciary for being transparent and meticulous in delivering the judgement, Governor Abiodun submitted that the judgement has reaffirmed the mandate entrusted on his government by the people of the state
Extending hands of fellowship to members of the opposition party, Mr. Governor urged them to join hands with his government in building the future of the state together
Earlier, in his remark, the head of service, Mr Peter Fagbohun who congratulated governor Abiodun on his victory at the tribunal, promised that the state civil servants would continue to support his administration in ensuring that the second term is more prosperous that the first.
Describing the governor as a worthy leader, the head of service informed that the governor approved the peculiary allowance among others presented to him without stress, which, according to him, has shown that the governor is workers’ friendly
