The Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has stressed the need for the utilization of technology in public administration to bring about efficiency and effectiveness.
Governor Abiodun made the call this midweek at the Second edition of the Secretaries to state government in the South West, held this in Abeokuta
Governor sbiodun noted that the state government has been able to double its internally generated revenue IGR, with the use of technology without burden the people unnecessarily.
The governor also called for more cooperation and collaboration between the states of the western region for the region to continue to take it pride of place among the regions in the country.
The meeting which was facilitated by the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) commission has as its theme: Government technology reforms in public administration
In his welcome address, the Secretary to the Ogun state government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi pointed out that it is only through synergy among the western states that the region can reclaim its economic leadership in Africa.
