Residents of Isale-Ake and Oke-Ejigbo in Abeokuta South Local government will soon have a sigh of relief as the Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun is set to commence the reconstruction of the two roads in two weeks time
Governor abiodun who made the promise this Saturday while addressing the residents during the inspection of the road said he was in the area to ascertain the level of deplorable condition of the road urging the residents to exercise patient as efforts is on top gear to make it motorable
The governor who was received by large number of all progressives congress APC members said the road would be reconstructed and fix with modern day equipment to enhance people’s movement within the area
While thanking them for their support during the last election, governor abiodun said the people of the local government deserve the best in appreciation of their support adding that the local government cannot be left out in the ongoing massive infrastructural development across the state as road reconstruction exercise are taken place in adigbe, oke lantoro, elite roads among others
Describing the local government as important to the current administration, governor abiodun informed that government has made enough arrangements to assist the widows through its intervention programs in order to improve on their welfare
He added that the youths being regarded as the engine room of any nation’s development would also receive attention by making them more relevant in the scheme of things in order to allow them to contribute towards development of the state
