The ogun state governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has reiterated his commitment to continue to support and create conducive ambiance not only for the efficient and effective service delivery of all secondary schools, but also for the realization of their potentials as a transitory vessel of the education
Governor Abiodun gave the assurance this midweek while declaring open the southwest zonal ANCOPPS 2022 mandatory continuing professional training with the theme emerging administrative and management innovations and techniques for handling contemporary issues and challenges in secondary education held at okemosan, abeokuta.
The governor who described secondary education sub-sector as important urged the participants to share experience on how to improve on the school curriculum and also come up with solutions on the rising level of immorality in the collective interest of the nation’s peace ,security and societal development
The governor expressed optimism that hosting of the Mandatory Continuing Professional Training (MCPT) would help to preserve the image and reputation of the Association, its members and the noble profession of Teaching.
While dwelling on the blueprint for the socio-economic transformation of the State, tagged ISEYA Mantra, governor abiodun promised that despite all challenges the current administration would ensure that the educational system plays a pivotal role towards the development of the state and the Nigeria in general.
Describing the theme of the training programme as apt, Mr governor charged principal who are the administrators of secondary schools to always be at the forefront of improving the education sector describing the ANCOPPS MCPT as a very important platform not only to ensure smooth administration of the secondary schools but for more innovative ideas in the development of the education sector
The governor while assuring that government would continue to deploy resources within the available means towards the wellness and well-being of all persons in the education system assured that all the backlog of school running cost would be paid in the next ten days
