The Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has called on traditional rulers to put in more efforts in securiring their domains against criminal activities.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made the call at the statutory meeting of the Ogun State Council of Obas held at the Obas Complex, Oke-Mosan this mid-week in Abeokuta.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, the governor noted that the Obaship Institution remains a veritable platform to entrench good governance for any administration for any administration that desires sustainable development.
While appreciating the traditional rulers for working hand in glove with the administration in addressing the challenges of insecurity, the governor maintained that the council of obas has built itself a robust relationship with the government through its steadfastness, loyalty and sacrifice.
He urged them to use their sacred office for the successful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
