Nigerians have been reassured of the federal government’s commitment to ensuring that the 2023 general elections are credible.
President Mohammadu Buhari gave the assurance on Sunday while congratulating the Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, following the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the last Saturday election in the state.
The President in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, commended the conduct of the Osun governorship polls, stating that it is a further testimony to the maturity and commitment of all stakeholders in strengthening the integrity of the electoral process in the country.
He added that the people of Osun have expressed their will through the ballot , stressing that the will of the people must always matter and be respected in a democratic setting.
