You Are Doing Well, Ogun Hos Tells Information Managers

Information managers in the Ogun State government service have been commended for doing a wonderful job at promoting the government in all its activities to the people of the State.

The Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro gave the commendation when the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Information Chapel paid a courtesy visit to his office in Abeokuta.

According to him, the officers in the profession are so important to the smooth running of any government, and as such they must continue to discharge their duties ethically and maintain professionalism in order not to embarrass their employer.

“Government needs you to project its activities and you’re doing wonderfully well, I must say. Continue to do your work ethically, be professional and maintain it because you must not do things that will embarrass the government” the HoS advised.

He also admonished the leaders to keep guiding the upcoming ones, as everyone now parades as journalists, about the ethics of the profession and consciously ensure that they are well utilised in their various beats, with a promise that the issues tabled before him would be looked into.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Union, Comrade Akinwale Olanrewaju, had solicited the support of the HoS to tackle some challenges facing its members in the discharge of their statutory duties.

Similarly, the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro has thrown his weight behind the newly inaugurated executive members of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Ogun State Chapter, in order to achieve unprecedented success during their tenure.

Dr. Aigoro gave the assurance when the President of MWAN, Dr. Olabisi Dedeke led other members to felicitate and congratulate him as the 18th HoS in his office.

According to him, the Office of the HoS will continue to collaborate with the association, especially as it is planning to host its National Executive Council in the coming week.

Earlier the MWAN 2021-2023 Biennium President, Dr. Dedeke, while reeling out the mission and vision of the association, promised to continue to promote quality health care services especially among women and children.

Dr. Dedeke pleaded for government’s support in recording good success at the free Cancer Screening Week slated for next month and to institute its vaccination for the children.

In the same vein, the Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro received in audience the executive members of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter.

Led by the Chairman of the Association, Comrade Isa Olude, Dr. Aigoro promised to look into all the issues tabled before him for the betterment of the Civil Service and the workers.
