A total of eight new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Ogun State on August 2, 2021, a statement from the Ministry of Health has said.
In a release by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, revealed that six of the new cases were found in Sagamu while the other two were discovered in Ijebu-Ode.
It further disclosed that present cumulative cases of Covid-19 in Ogun State stands at 4,801 with 12 people currently on admission in the isolation centers while 56 asymptomatic patients are on home management.
According to the release, Dr. Coker called all residents to give all attention to the given guidelines of social distancing, regular hand washing, use of face masks as well as avoidance of mass gatherings.
It assured that the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government is committed to putting all measures in place to curtail the third wave in Ogun State.
