GOVERNOR ABIODUN IS CALLING ON INVESTORS TO PARTNER THE STATE

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has called on well-meaning Nigerians to partner the state in the journey of creating a desirable future for the state.

Governor Abiodun made the call on thursday at the official launch of Ogun Digital Economy infrastructure project, OGDEIP held at the ogun tech hub kobape-Abeokuta road, Abeokuta.

Mr Governor explained that as part of the government’s commitment towards providing focussed and qualitative governance through the creation of enabling environment for industrialization said the current administartion is committed in providing the required infrastructure to link the state industrial hub to adjoining states and also connect urban to rural areas to improve on the movement of food to the markets for the overall development of towns and cities.

He added that the construction of the Agro Cargo International Airport was part of the government strategies towards developing air transport infrastructure to boost its agricultural development agenda.

According to the Governor, government is unfolding its power infrstructure project that will guarantee stable power supply to most of the cities and industrial cluster.

He informed that the launch of the digital economy infrastructure is the backbone of information, Communication and Technology, ICT, revolution in the state, stressing that the new innovation would further enhance the ease of doing business in the state.

Stressing that recent events have shown the importance of digital economy in solving various human challenges and transforming every aspect of the economy, the man at the helm of affairs in the state posited that the effort of the current administration in providing a digital economy in the state would not only help to resolve many challenges both human and economic but also provide more opportunities to improve people’s productivity and innovations as necessary for nurturing their potentials for the state development.

Governor Abiodun pointed out that ICT industry has continued to account for more than 21 percent of the State’s Gross Domestic Product, and had continued to provide countless job opportunities for the growing educated and creative citizenry.
