Some Ogun state Ministries, Department and Agencies, MDAs this Monday took turns to present the 2021 fiscal year budget with the infrastructure sector kick starting the budget presentation with over 90billion naira proposal.
Presenting the Ministry of Works and lnfrastructure budget at the Treasury Board Meeting on 2021-2023 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and 2021 Budget held at the Obas’ Complex , Okemosan,Abeokuta, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Works, Engineer Babatunde Adesina assured of the completion of all ongoing projects across the state.
Responding, the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor and Commissioner for Finance, Mr Dapo Okubadejo mandated the Ministry to revisit the list of road projects in each Senatorial district with a view to making necessary adjustments.
Presenting the project proposal for the Ministry of Rural Development, the Commissioner, Mr Taiwo Oludotun proposed 4.181billion naira for the Ministry, highlighting some of the projects to be undertaken in the next fiscal year to include; the
Construction of 3km Asphalt standard roads across the three Senatorial districts, upgrade of 280km rural roads in 20 local government areas and Construction of 75 reinforced concrete box culvert hydraulic structures in the three Senatorial districts of the state.
He however added that the ministry needs assessment inspection supervision and maintenance of roads across the state.
On her part, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker who informed that the Ministry has 11 , departments and agencies under it, said it will among others ensure the construction and completion of the 250 bedded health centre at Okemosan, as well as the renovation of general hospitals across the state in 2021.
