Youths have again been encouraged to take advantage of the Agricultural opportunities in Ogun state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun gave the admonition this Thursday at the handover and closing/off-take ceremony of the third cycle of Pilot the Ogun Broiler project at Odeda training farm Institute, Eweje.
Represented by his Deputy, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Governor informed that opportunities abound in different agricpreneurs in the state, including the ongoing Planting Materials Palliative for smallholder farmers, Presidential Fertilizer Palliative and the free extension and advisory services to all farms and food production locations.
Commending the 54 graduands who have been declared as Broiler Production Business Ambassadors in the state
for the successful completion of the programme, he said the government is concluding arrangements to replicate it for state wide implementation.
Governor Abiodun Congratulated the 54,000 Broiler off-taker- Amobyn Nigeria Limited for honouring the agreement to purchase the birds, thanking other financial banks, lnsurance Companies and other stakeholders who have supported the pilot scheme.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Adeola Odedina appreciated Governor Abiodun for his support and advocacy efforts in Agriculture, saying that Agricpreneur is becoming more attractive to youths in the state.
Expressing gratitude to the government for putting the scheme in place, the representative of the Ogun Broiler project beneficiaries, Mr Ayinde Musa said the scheme has exposed them to Agric-business advantages.
