OGUN ASSURES CIVIL SERVANTS OF CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT AS PERMANENT SECRETARIES, PRINCIPALS- GENERAL, HEAD TEACHERS GENERAL TAKE OATH

The Ogun state government has reassured that it will continue to deploy resources towards ensuring a conducive environment for the public servants for efficient and effective service delivery

Governor dapo abiodun gave the assurance this Tuesday during the swearing in ceremony of six new permanent secretaries, principals general and head teachers general at the exco chamber, okemosan in Abeokuta

Governor abiodun who commended the state public service for its integrity, discipline, loyalty, and passion for excellence said these qualities have continued to make the state public service to standout among the comity of states public services in Nigeria

According to him the commitment of the current administration is to preserve and improve on this proud legacy of the public service, in doing this government will continue to reward deserving officers who are industrious and exhibiting commitment to service delivery

The number one man in the state emphasised that such a singular action would contribute to the successful implementation of the state’s mantra of building the future of the state together for the sustainable development stressing that the appointment of six new permanent secretaries in was another symbolic celebration of hard work

The governor while pointing out that the process to clear the backlogs of the 2018, 2019 and 2020 promotion exercises are at advance level, said the government was already perfecting plans to commence the payment of the new minimum wage by October and payment of outstanding 2015 to 2020 leave bonus deductions assuring that government would not deny the workers
of the rewards of their meritorious and hardwork in appreciation of their contributions to the development of the state

Charging the newly sworn in permanent secretaries, principals general and head teachers to see their new elevation as a call to service, governor abiodun explained that the emergence of global pandemic has continued to increase the expectations of the government and the needs of the public

He advised them to use their vast experience to add value and bring more initiatives to improve on implementation of the government’s policies and programs in fulfilment of the public needs
