Governor Dapo Abiodun has sympathised with the proprietor of the Totoro, Abeokuta Electronics store engulfed by fire on Sunday.
He however advised residents to keep off from the location until the concerned authorities satisfy the vicinity safe.
Represented by his deputy, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, accompanied by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salis together with some Commissioners as well as the Abeokuta North and South local governments Chairmen, the Governor this Monday expressed condolences to the affected property owners, thanking God that no life was lost.
He made it known that the officials of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development are conducting an integrity check on the affected building to ascertain the level of damage and give recommendations for the government to take appropriate action.
Prince Abiodun who stated that the wellbeing of the citizenry is paramount to the current administration
urged residents to keep a safe distance from the building.
In a remark, the Proprietor of the burnt Electronics furniture and fittings store, Mr Olujimi Emmanuel thank the Governor for his concern.
