The Ogun state governor, prince Dapo abiodun has reassured that the current administration would continue to support the security agencies in ensuring adequate security of lives and properties of the residents
Governor Abiodun gave the reassurance this Monday while playing host to the General Officer Commanding eighty-one division of the nigerian army, Major General Godwin Umelo at oke mosan in Abeokuta.
The state helmsman thanked the army for the existing cordial relationship with other security agencies in ensuring peace in the state especially during the COVID19 lockdown.
On the ongoing army recruitment exercise, governor Abiodun said the state government will ensure citizens from the state takes full advantage and registered for the exercise.
Earlier, the General Officer Commanding, eighty-one division, Major general Godwin Unielo noted that security is a collective responsibility stressing that the military is partner in progress.
The G.O.C who assumed office in the second of July 2020, explained that he was in the state as part of his tour to the different divisions under his command.
he GOC was accompanied by the Commander of 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala.
