OGUN GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE FREE LEGAL SERVICES TO CITIZENS

For quick dispensation of justice,the Ogun state government is to provide free legal services for indigenes of the state
Residents of the state are also to have access to solicitors for quick justice.

The Attorney general and commissioner for justice,Barrister Gbolahan Adeniran brought these to the fore before the house Committee on justice this Monday
According to him,the ministry is expected soon to list solicitors that will attend to cases involving the less privileged in the society

Barrister Adeniran told the Solomon Osho led Committee that the public prosecution Dept during the period under review,provided and printed in govt gazette plea bargaining manual to guide prosecutors,accused persons and their council on how to deploy plea bargain as provided for in the administration of criminal justice and other related matters law.

The commissioner disclosed that the Dept of litigations and advisory services received a total number of 93 cases between Jan and June, obtained over 15 judgements from various courts in the state as well as the national industrial court,Lagos and Appeal Court.
