An era of entrepreneurship and innovative agriculture awaits farmers in Ogun State as efforts are in top gear to bring the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, IITA for Agricultural Development.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Samson Odedina came up with this while inspecting the Odeda Farm Settlement with the IITA Team on Tuesday.

The Agricultural Commissioner, stated that the state is leveraging on the opportunity of its closeness to Ibadan, the base of the IITA to give the sector a facelift, informing that 45 Hectares of Land, Fishery Processing Facilities Ponds and Dam, Feedmil as well as Livestocks are on ground to kickstart the partnership.

Responding, The IITA Team Lead, Dr Richard Okechukwu expressed delight over the facilities met on ground, assuring of the success of the partnership which will provide jobs and create wealth for the people of the state.
