The Ogun State House of Assembly has passed the the State Technical and vocational education amendment bill 2019 and State official order of precedence of public officers and other persons bill 2019 into law.
The two bills were passed during Plenary this Tuesday following the committees’ reports presented by the Chairmen,committees on education,Assemblyman Ademuyiwa Adeyemi, Abeokuta South II and his counterpart on establishment and public service matters, Mrs Modupe Mujota, representing Abeokuta North State Constituency.
The chairmen thereafter moved the motion for the adoption of the reports, seconded by assemblymen Abayomi Fasuwa representing Ijebu North-East and Oludaisi Elemide representing Odeda State Constituency after which the bills were read and adopted clause-by-clause by the committee of the whole house.
The motion for the third reading of the bills were later moved by the majority leader, Assemblyman Yusuf Sheriff seconded by Assemblyman Ganiyu Oyedeji representing Ifo State Constituency and the Deputy Speaker Assemblyman Oludare Kadri.
The acting clerk, Mr Deji Adeyemo thereafter did the third reading of the bills before the members.
Responding, the Speaker, the right Honorable Olakunle Oluomo directed that the clean copy of the bills be forwarded to Governor Dapo Abiodun for his assent.
Meanwhile, the state legislative funds management law, 2020 and state judiciary funds management law 2020 were read for the first time by the clerk of the assembly before the lawmakers.
