The Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has dissociated himself and his administration form the unsavoury comments credited to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Dr Oludare Kehinde saying the comments which centered on the success or otherwise of the Second Civilian Governor of the state Chief Olusegun Osoba as a governor and leader were never a true reflection of the government’s position.

Describing the unauthorized comments as distasteful. Governor Abiodun in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Mr Kunle Somorin observed that Chief Osoba’s reputation as an accomplished journalist and consummate politician transcends ogun state.

The Governor while stating that he remains grateful for the leadership role of Chief Osoba in bringing the current administration in place and his continuous support reassured that the unfortunate comments would not detract from the cordial relationship between him and the former governor.

While apologizing to Chief Osoba and other leaders affected by the comments made by the commissioner who has since been reprimanded. The Governor expressed happiness that the former governor has demonstrated fatherly and reassuring understanding of a leader he truly is.
