The Nigeria Consumers have been told to seek redress whenever their rights are infringed upon.

They can do so lodging their complaints at the various consumer protection agencies well as the abreast of the basic consumer rights over goods and services.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Consumer Protection advocacy initiative, Mr Olatunji Ajayi started this while featuring on OGBC personality program,”Sunday Morning Live on Fm”.

Mr Ajayi who noted that many consumers in the country do not know their rights, called on the government to put in place structures that can enhance consumer education and sensitization.

Speaking on the world consumer rights day being celebrated this Sunday, he identified policy somersault as a major hindrance to the protection of consumers rights, emphasizing the need to strengthen the bodies saddled with the responsibility of protecting Nigerians from fake and substandard goods and services.
