Following the recent ban of commercial motorcycle and tricycles in some parts of Lagos State, The Ogun State House of Assembly has called for inter-agency partnership through the executive arm of government including collaboration with the security agencies to put in place proactive measures geared towards checkmating impending crime and criminalities that may be occasioned by the influx of the riders to the state.
The Speaker The Right Honourable Oluomo, who made the call while responding to the submissions of lawmakers under personal explanation at the plenary also admonished residents of the state to be more security conscious in all their daily engagements.
The Speaker stated that putting in place a means of identification for riders became expedient to strengthen security operations. while ensuring sanity in the transport sector for the socio-economic prosperity as well as checkmating kidnapping in some part of the state.
