Government has upheld the appointment of all the permanent secretaries made between February and May 2019 by the last administration.

Also, has directed the civil service commission and the head of service to come up with modalities for the regularization of the ASCON intakes within the same period to normalize their appointments.

The Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun who made the remark this midweek at the swearing in of the permanent secretaries said the recruitment of the workers, according to the report of the review committee on the appointments and recruitment did not follow laid down principles and tradition of the public service but the current administration, in line with its commitment to the equity, fairness and justice will not engage in any action that may be viewed as vendetta.

The Governor therefore called on all those involved to continue to put in their best for efficient service delivery to the people of the state.

Governor Abiodun emphasized that the swearing in of the new permanent secretaries and the reshufflement of the leadership of the public service were part of the deliberate strategies to ensure smooth operations of the core engine room of the government.
