The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has commended the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the various ongoing developmental projects in the State within the few months He assumed office.
The Minister gave the commendation while speaking at Oja-Odan in Yewa North Local Government.
He described the Governor as an experienced man whose initiative are capable of transforming the state, adding that the Federal Government attaches importance to Ogun being the Gateway State.
The Minister renewed the commitment of the Government towards the provision of necessary assistance to beef up security within the State.
He thanked the Governor for the patrol vehicles and motorcycles provided for the security personnel which He said will help in fortifying security mechanism across the State.
In His remarks, the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Tolu Odebiyi expressed displeasure over the recent unpleasant incidents which occurred at Oja-Odan due to the recklessness of the Officers of the Nigeria Customs Services.
The Senator said He had written a letter to the Inspector-General of Police to express the concern of the people of the Area over the incident, advising the Nigeria Customs Services to adopt a better way of relating with the People in the Community to avoid altercation that may lead to unnecessary killings in the future.
