The Speaker of the House of Representatives has lent his voice against the cases of Sexual Harassments going on in Nigerian Ivory Towers.
According to the Right Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila, such scandals ought not to be found in the corridors of learning.
Speaker Gbajabiamila bared his mind this Tuesday while reacting to the BBC Sex- for Grades Documentary.
He pointed out that harassing students sexually could deny the victims sense of self-worth and leave them with psychological wounds that often never heal.
While advising the Nation’s Higher Institutions where this culture of abuse have been allowed to thrive to acknowledge their responsibility and act to put an end to the shameful practices, Speaker Gbajabiamila said the revelations call for a moment of reckoning as many of such Sex-for Grades Lecturers are still hiding in the shadows.
