The Ogun State Government has again received commendation for upgrading the health facilities in secondary hospitals across the state.
A body of surgeons from the west African college of surgeons, WACS, Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynecology, gave the commendation during the re-accreditation of the postgraduate and residency training programme at the state hospital, ijaye, Abeokuta.
According to the WACS Chairman, Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, there is an outstanding improvement compared to the challenges identified three years ago.
He lauded the Government for procuring modern operative equipment which will expose resident doctors to modern skills acquisition.
In a remark, The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on health, Dr Sade Adebanjo expressed Government’s readiness to reposition the sector, adding that other health facilities in the state like the Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital would get back its lost accreditation.
