Ogun State House Of Assembly has lauded the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led Administration for approving the immediate recruitment of additional medical personnel for the Olabisi Onabanjo Univiersity Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, As well as its plans towards repositioning the tertiary health institution to meet the yearnings of its founding fathers.
Members of the committee on health led by Assemblyman Adeyanju Adegoke gave the commendation during the ongoing 2019 Budget Assessment visit to the teaching hospital and the state hospital, Isara.
Assemblyman Adegoke said there was need for government at all levels to put in place mechanisms that would further reposition the health sector with a view to turning around its fortunes as the nation parades highly competent professionals in medicine, who could compete favorably with their peers in other parts of the world.
