The special adviser to the Governor on housing, Mr Jamiu Omoniyi says the state has extended about 1.9 billion naira on the construction and provision of housing projects across the state between January and June 2019.
Mr Omoniyi reeled out the figure when the committee on lands and housing led by Assemblyman Damilola Soneye appraised the 2019 budget performance of the ministry of housing in Oke-Mosan.
The Special Adviser expressed confidence In the project assessment committee set up by Governor Dapo Abiodun to review the contracts and construction of projects awarded and executed by the previous administration.
He listed the projects executed to include Adire shopping mall, Itoku, Itoku block of flats, Ibara health care centre, construction of three high courts at odeda, among others.
Responding, a member of the committee, Assemblyman Olakunle Sobukanla tasked the ministry to ensure that the Ogere market starts operation and the rehabilitation of access road to the market to encourage its full utilization
