The location of a power substation in Abeokuta by the President Muhamadu Buhari led administration has been described as an added advantage to the agenda of the current administration in re-positioning the state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun made the remark this Thursday at the official commissioning.
Describing the power sector as an important tool to the Nation’s economy, the Governor explained that the government will maximize the opportunity to encourage investment into the state as the substation will help in the regular supply of power in Abeokuta.
He added that the major challenging facing the Nation was electricity supply which the Federal government has done a lot to improve on it.
The Governor commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his determination in improving the Nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) through the huge investment in the sector which has already yielded positive results.
He charged the host community to make sure that the project is well protected from vandals
