The Ogun state government is considering death penalty for Kidnappers apprehended and found guilty in the state

Therefore government will soon send a bill to the State House of Assembly for passage to give it a legal backing

Governor Dapo Abiodun made this known this Monday during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations with the Muslim community in Remo land, led by its Imam general Sheikh Muhammad Junaid Abdulkadir at his residence in Iperu Remo.

Describing kidnapping as an economic crime that shouldn’t be allowed in the state, the Governor said the determination of the current administration in transforming the state could only be achieved in a safe and secured environment

He warned home owners in the state to be sure of whoever they intend to give their house to saying government will prosecute any home owners abhorring criminals.

He urged every homeowner and community leaders to be security conscious and report any security threat to the relevant agencies

Governor Abiodun says his emergence as the number one man in the state is divine promising to be a Governor of all the state without religious coloration.

On employment generation and Job creation, the Governor assured that government is tackling it head long.

The Governor urged all religious leaders in the state to keep praying for the success of the current administration and the prosperity of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the Muslim community, the chief Imam of Ikenne, Alhaji Hussein Lawal was full of thanks to Allah for the Governor and also thanked governor Abiodun for his magnanimity to the community.

Alhaji lawal assured that the Muslim community will continue to support the Governor through prayers in order to have a successful tenure.
