Ogun State government says quality representation of Women in governance is guaranteed in the current administration.
This is because Governor Dapo Abiodun is gender sensitive and committed to justice and fairness.
The Deputy Governor Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele made this known while addressing a group of Women who were at the Governor’s office Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta this Thursday on the implementation of the 35 percent affirmative action for women, in the selection of cabinet members.
According to her, the Governor would employ qualified hands for the tasks ahead without sidelining the women folk.
Earlier, the Secretary to the government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, explained that the appointments would be free of bias as considerations for appointment would be based on individual’s ability to contribute meaningfully to good governance, irrespective of gender, status or religion.
