GOV. DAPO ABIODUN EULOGIZES LATE FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNOR

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the late Deputy Governor of the State, Alhaji Rafiu Ogunleye, who served under the Olusegun Osoba-led government, as an astute politician, party leader of integrity and repute, whose wealth of experience would be missed, not only by the State, but also the nation.

Governor Abiodun stated this at the home of the deceased in Itele, Ijebu East Local Government Area of the State, saying he received the news of his death with shock as he spoke with him after he was discharged from the hospital.

He disclosed that the deceased was a just and fair leader that was well respected in the political class for his uprightness, steadfastness and loyalty, noting that the former deputy governor would be greatly missed.

The governor while describing the late politician as his in-law, because his late wife was an indigene of Iperu Remo, wished the family and the people of Itele, the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Responding on behalf of the family, daughter of the deceased, Barr. Mosunmola Ogunleye, thanked the State Governor for honouring the family with his presence, adding that her father would be greatly missed.

In the Governor’s entourage were the Moyegeso of Itele, Oba (Engr.) Mufutau Kasali and his wife, former Deputy Governor of the State, Prince Segun Adesegun and the Honourable member of the State House of Assembly, representing Ijebu East State Constituency, Hon. Shola Adams, among others.
