The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo has advocated for a part-time Legislature with a view to reducing legislative expenses.
Rt. Hon. Oluomo made this known while featuring on OGBC II programme Sunday Morning Live on FM.
He however said the constitution needed to be amended before part-time legislation can be practiced in the country.
Mr. Speaker assured that the state legislature will be responsible and responsive to the people saying that the 9th assembly will ensure participatory democracy which will engage the entire citizenry.
In the meantime, the speaker has called on youths to go for courses that will enable them start their own business after graduation rather than look for white collar jobs.
