A call has gone to Concerned authorities to strategise towards the development of children
This is necessary because children are the future leaders.
An activist, Mrs Aishat Okegbenro came up with this advice on the occasion of the 2019 ‘Day of African Child’ celebration
She posited that the challenges facing African children need to be resolved while doors of opportunity should be opened for African future leaders.

Speaking on theme the of this year’s celebration, ‘Humanitarian Action in Africa: Children’s Rights First”, Mrs Okegbenro noted that children are the most vulnerable in natural and man-made crises.
The Activist submitted that crises often lead to violation of children’s rights and interrupt provision of basic services like health, quality education, clean water, nutrition, protection and adequate standard of living, advocating the promotion and protection of children’s rights.
