The late Ogun state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barrister Olaniyi Ijalaye has again been described as a forthright Nigerian who served his fatherland selflessly and conscientiously.
Speaking at a service of songs and tributes in honour of the deceased REC held this evening at the INEC office , Magbon,Abeokua, Governor Dapo Abiodun extolled qualities of the late Barrister Ijalaye,saying his life was impactful.
Represented by his Deputy, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, governor Abiodun noted that though the death of the INEC boss was a rude shock and a profound loss to the nation at large,his legacies will continue to inspire all, praying God to grant the family, INEC and the country at large the fortitude to bear the great loss
In a tribute, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, the Right Honourable Oludaisi Elemide said the life of Barrister Ijalaye was indeed worthy of emulation, urging people to embrace integrity as death remains a debt that must be paid by all.
Also, the Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barrister Mutiu Agboke emphasised the fact that every human being becomes history after death, adding that the late Ogun State Resident Electoral Commissioner was a peace-loving, outstanding and dedicated man who served humanity.#
