OGUN DEPUTY GOVERNOR PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO OGUN INEC OFFICE OVER REC’s DEMISE

The Ogun State Deputy Governor , Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele this midweek paid a condolence visit to the management and staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) at the headquarters offiice Abeokuta over the demise of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Barrister Olaniyi Ijalaye.

According to the deputy governor, the sudden death of Barrister Ijalaye was a rude shock to all, saying he was a gentleman who remained committed to the service of his fatherland.

Describing Barrister Ijalaye as an umpire of integrity who was committed to serving his country selflessly, Engineer Salako-Oyedele noted that the state government,especially the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration appreciates his meritorious service.

The Deputy Governor who also described death as a debt which humans owe,urged all to live right in order to be remembered for good after death just as she prayed God to console the Ijalaye family, INEC and the nation at large.

Responding on behalf of INEC management and staff, the Director of Finance and Account, Alhaja Rabiat Akinola thanked the deputy governor for identifying with the electoral body during the sad moment, saying the late REC for his quality leadership.#
