Ahead of today’s female football final at the National Youth Games between Team Ogun and Team Lagos, head coach of the Gateway girls, Adeniyi Adeyinka has assured that his girls are up to the task and are only interested in conquering their counterparts from Lagos.
Coach Adeyinka in a chat with Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation revealed that their intention is to get the job done in their final outing at the Youth Games.
He said “We came to Delta with the mindset of taking each game as it comes, we have done that and here we are in the final”.
“We have our biggest game at the youth games today and we can’t afford to fail here”.
The Team Ogun football gaffer made it known that the girls are aware of the task ahead and are also willing to take the top prize back home.
Coach Adeniyi Adeyinka appreciated the Ogun State Football Association under the leadership of Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi for its tremendous support.
He also gave kudos to the Ogun State government for giving team Ogun the necessary support for the multi sports event.
On the way to the final, Team Ogun girls walloped Adamawa 5-0 in the quarter final before accounting for Team Abia in a game that ended 3-1.
Today’s final will be played at the Jay Jay Okocha stadium, Ugwashi Uku
