The Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has described late Prince Bola ajibola as a statesman who contributed immensely to the development of the nation and mankind.
Governor Abiodun made the remark on Sunday at the 8th day fidau of the late jurist held at Crescent University, Abeokuta
The governor explained that late Ajibola was a man of intellect whose prowess for raising a high standard of values among the young generation led to the establishment of Crescent University, which he said has served truly its purpose as a true citadel of learning.
Extolling the virtues of the world court judge, Governor Abiodun noted that the deceased lived an impactful life by being a philantropist who contributed to human life at all levels
He stated that late Ajibola’s appointment as the nation’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom between 1999 and 2002 was a reflection of his commitment to nation’s building, adding that late Ajibola was awarded honorary degree by various universities across the country in appreciation of his love for education.
The first citizen of the gateway state therefore urged people to live an impactful life, so that they can be remembered for good after death.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has described the late former Attorney -General and Minister of Justice,Prince Bola Ajibola as an islamic colossus,an uncommon jurist and astute administrator whose selfless service to Nigeria remains unforgettable.
Mr President stated this on Sunday at the 8th day fidau for the jurist,held at the Crescent University, Abeokuta.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari who led other federal government functionaries to the event, President Buhari said Prince Bola Ajibola’s contributions and philanthropic gestures, especially in the area of education and the propagation of islam are unspeakable,adding that he indeed did the country proud.
Also speaking,the former president,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo said the late Prince Bola Ajibola was a disciplinarian and a legend with a large heart.
