It was a carnival like atmosphere in the ancient city of Oja Odan on Saturday when the campaign train of APC Senatorial Candidate for Ogun West, Senator Olalemikan Adeola Yayi arrived the town to seek the people’s vote ahead of the coming elections.
At the rally,Senator Adeola donated transformers to Ebute, Oja Odan, Ohunbe, Igua,and Iganalade, communities that have been without electricity for several years.
He also promised to revisit the abandoned World Bank electrification project, which will serve 52 communities in Yewa North, explaining that all promises made will be fulfilled immediately.
The APC Ogun West Senatorial candidate also promised to complete one of the largest maize stores in Oja Odan, capable of supplying 40,000 bags of maize as well as empower 5,000 market women across the senatorial district, urging the people of Oja Odan, Ohunbe, Igua, Iganalade, and Ebute to vote for all candidates of the ruling party in the coming elections.
Youths in Ogun west were also assured of his commitment to empower them and make them job creators in the overall interest of the district.
Meanwhile, Senator Adeola has assured that the 200 selected graduates from the five Local Governments in the district currently receiving free ICT training will be empowered after their training.
The Senator who promised Bursary award to students in tertiary institutions from the district when elected, urged residents of the border town to be law abiding and avoid trampling on laws which could make them have issues with officers of the Nigeria customs service.
