The Ogun state government has renewed commitment to the welfare of the citizenry, urging the people to be more patient with the current administration, as a promise keeping one.
The Ogun state Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele stated this at the Eid-el-fitr prayers, held at the Ansaurudeen School ground, Otta,on Thursday.
She assured that the current administration is resolute in its bid to transform the state, pointing out that no local government would be left unattended to in the provision of infrastructure, calling for more prayer for Governor Dapo Abiodun and his administration.
Thanking God for sparing the lives of everyone despite last year’s challenges, posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Deputy Governor warned that the Coronavirus is still spreading across Countries, citing the example of the happenings at India, saying that the pandemic has taken over there.
In a remark, the Olota of Otta, Oba Abdul-Kabir Obalanlege
urged the faithful to keep up with the good deeds they were committed to during Ramadan, advising the people of Otta to love one another.
While charging parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children, the royal father noted that it is obvious that many children lack good parenting this days.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Otta, Sheikh Sodiq Buhari urged faithful to adhere strictly to the tenets of Islam, cautioning people against engaging in actions that would negatively affect the propagation of Islam Islam now that the Ramadan is over.
