The 2021 appropriation bill presented to the House of Assemby by Governor Dapo Abiodun will be given speedy passage.
This was the submission of the lawmakers at plenary this Thursday
after the bill scaled second reading on the floor.
The Speaker, the Rt Honourable Olakunle Oluomo saw the need for quick passage of the bill in order to further enhance the economic growth of the state and also to be in tandem with the financial accounting year from January to Dec.
In their contributions,some of the lawmakers including Assembymen Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye, Yussuf Sheriff,Sola Adams, Abayomi Fasuwa, Modupe Mujota and Tinuke Bello,supported the early passage of the bill as it will bring succour to the people of the state after the Covid 19 and ENDSARS protests.
The Speaker then committed the bill to the House Committee on finance and appropriation for further legislative action.
