OGUN DEPUTY GOVERNOR AGAIN ADVOCATES STRICT COMPLIANCE TO COVID-19 RULES.

Now that the community spread of the Coronavirus is increasing on daily basis, people have been advised to take the precautionary measures against it more seriously.

The Ogun State government on it’s part has however renewed commitment in ensuring proper management and containment of the disease across the state.

The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele stated this, this Thursday, while taking delivery of 300 thousand units of nose-mask donation from Lee Group of Companies at her office in Oke-mosan,Abeokuta.

She implored people to help the government reduce the incidence by conscientiously following the recommended rules of preventing the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

While thanking the Lee group for the generous donation of the surgical mask Engineer Salako-Oyedele noted that it would further assist government’s efforts in stockpiling Personal Protective items,PPE,for health workers.

In a remark, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker who stated that this Thursday marks the 116th day of the index case of COVID-19 in the state, informed that the state, currently has 0.6percent infection rates among its health workers, saying PPE would help greatly reduce the spread among them.

Earlier, the General Manager, Lee Group of Companies, Mr Phillip Seng said the manufacturing company was spurred to donate the items due to the current administration’s effective response to the pandemic in the state.

He stated that nose masks was essential for personal protection of health workers who are in the frontline of the pandemic.
