The media should be professional in the reportage of the Covid-19 pandemic in order to reduce fears among the people.
They should also ensure that the reports are those that bring hope to the people rather than ones to instill fear.
The Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun on Media and Public Communications, Honorable Remmy Hazzan who stated this in Abeokuta pointed out that the media practitioner should enlighten educative and better inform the people about the pandemic.
He called for balancing between ethical journalism and empathy while reporting Covid-19 related issues.
